My story

Geneva, the sweetest little girl who was just waiting for someone to see her. When Geneva first came into rescue, she was skin and bones, struggling to thrive as part of a community cat colony where resources were limited. But the moment she was given the chance at indoor life, something beautiful happened: Geneva discovered that people were her favorite thing. It almost feels like she was asking to be rescued. Pick her up and she turns into a complete limp noodle—purring, melting into your arms, and making the sweetest little air biscuits. Once she knows she’s safe with you, she’ll curl up on your chest and happily soak in your pets for hours. And when she’s feeling brave, she’ll sneak over and settle into your lap all on her own. Geneva loves sunny spots on her cat tree, cozy places to relax, and most of all, the feeling of being loved and safe. She is incredibly friendly, but she does have a tender, cautious side. Fast approaches and unfamiliar loud noises can startle her, so she needs a home that will give her a little time to build confidence and let her come out of her shell at her own pace. There is something incredibly special about watching a shy cat realize she is safe—and Geneva is ready for someone who will adore her through that journey. With patience, kindness, and a whole lot of love, we think her confidence will bloom beautifully. If you’re looking for a gentle, affectionate girl who will eventually melt into your arms and become your little shadow, Geneva is the one you’ve been waiting for.
