Gemma

My story

LOYAL, LOVING AND READY TO SNUGGLE WITH HER FUREVER AFTER!Gemma is a 5 year old Alaskan Malamute mix with a gentle heart, a smart mind, and a deep bond with her person. She has come a long way since entering rescue and is much more confident than she was at the beginning.🐾 She’s incredibly adaptable: Gemma doesn’t need one specific type of home or lifestyle. Single or married, active or low key, hiking on Saturday or Netflix on the couch all weekend — she is happy to meet you where you are.🐾 Flexible sleeper: Gemma will gladly curl up in bed with you, but she is also comfortable sleeping in her crate.🐾 Smart and observant: She watches, learns quickly, and does well with routine and consistency.🐾 Needs decompression time: New places can feel like a lot at first, so she does best when given time to learn the home and settle in at her own pace.🐾 Dog friendly with proper introductions: Slow, thoughtful introductions help her feel comfortable and successful.🐾 No cats: Gemma has a strong prey drive and needs a cat free home.🐾 Travel is improving: She can still get a little anxious or motion sick on longer rides, but she has made great progress.Gemma has completed heartworm treatment and is ready for a steady home where she can keep building confidence and finally feel like she belongs. If you’re looking for a loyal, soulful companion who will truly love being your girl, Gemma may be the one.ADOPTION FEE: $400APPLY HERE: DLPR Adoption ApplicationOUT OF STATE ADOPTERS WELCOME!Transport is available for approved adopters depending on location and routing.
