August (Gus)

My story

Meet our smallest "big" dog! His name is August. Gus when he's a good boy, which is most of the time.  Augustus when he's having a puppy moment.  At just 10 months old, this handsome little guy has already experienced more than any puppy should—including being surrendered because of litter mate syndrome and arriving with an impressive amount of scratches to show for it. But don’t let his rough start fool you… this boy is ready to leave all that drama in the past and get on with the important business of being adorable! He is, without question, the world's best snuggler. His favorite place is pressed up against his human, preferably as close as physically possible. Personal space? He has heard of it. He simply does not believe in it.  He also loves his kennel, which is pretty unusual for a puppy. While most puppies consider the kennel a personal insult, this guy thinks it’s his cozy little private suite. Room service would probably be appreciated, though. And then there are the zoomies. Oh, the zoomies... When he gets the urge, this little dude launches into Formula 1 mode—zero hesitation, questionable braking ability, and absolutely no concern for track limits. It's best to simply stand back and enjoy the race. Perhaps his greatest talent, though, is his ability to be the biggest dog in a relatively small dog's body. He has the confidence, personality, and sheer enthusiasm of a Great Dane packed into a conveniently travel-sized package. He’s sweet, hilarious, affectionate, ridiculously cute, and ready to find someone who will show him that life is about so much more than where you started. If you're looking for a puppy who will make you laugh, keep you entertained, and routinely use you as his personal cuddle pillow, this little guy may have just won the race to your heart.
