Our new Canada K9 Rewards incentive program aims to increase opportunities for dog adoptions in PetSmart stores and provide even more cash for your organization by completing dog adoptions.
The infographic below illustrates how Adoption Partners can earn extra cash with our new Canada K9 Rewards program — including a year-end cash bonus, additional partner rewards, and how it integrates with our existing Adoption Partner Rewards program.
Adopt Joy™ Adoption Events:
Starting in February 2026, we are partnering with PetSmart stores across Canada to host monthly adoption events focused on dogs, called Adopt Joy™ adoption events.
Adoption partners who participate in Adopt Joy events will receive 2-for-1 Adoption Partner Rewards for dog adoptions completed during the event days.
Qualifying event dates are:
- February 21, 2026
- March 28, 2026*
- April 25, 2026
- May 23, 2026
- June 27, 2026
- July 25, 2026*
- August 22, 2026
- September 26, 2026
- October 24, 2026*
- December 5, 2026
- January 16, 2027
*Dates that fall within National Adoption Weeks will be advertised to customers as NAW only. Adoptions at these events will continue to be eligible for 2-for-1 Adoption Partner Rewards as usual.
Year-end Bonus:
When your organization participates in at least eight (8) of the Adopt Joy™ events held between February 2026 and January 2027, and completes at least two dog adoptions at each event, you'll automatically earn a $2,500 year-end cash bonus!
