Meet Reishi, the 1.5-year-old dachshund/min pin mix with a heart of gold and a spirit of adventure! This charming pup hails from Tennessee, where he survived a hoarding case and proved to be a resilient little soul. Now, he's looking for his forever home, where he'll shower his humans with affection, snuggle up for Netflix binges, and steal hearts with his goofy antics. Reishi is as fascinating as he is adorable. Did you know that his namesake, the Reishi mushroom, is known for its extraordinary healing properties and ability to boost the immune system? Much like his fungal counterpart, our Reishi is a bundle of energy and joy, spreading positivity wherever he goes. From the man himself:  "I'm looking for a peaceful home where I can thrive - that means no tiny humans, please! I'm not exactly a fan of chaos, and kids can be, well, a bit much. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save.
