My story

Bobby Rodriguez is an 8-year-old neutered male domestic shorthair who most recently entered the shelter on 4/21/26 as a stray. He was previously surrendered in November 2024 with no reason provided. Previous owner noted that he is fully litter trained. Bobby is up to date on rabies and FVRCP vaccinations as of April 2026 and weighs approximately 10.9 lbs. He has no known history of aggression and has been previously altered. On 4/23 staff noted "Bobby Rodriguez presented as a friendly and social cat during volunteer observation. He was approachable and engaged readily with the environment and handler presence. A volunteer reported that Bobby is highly food-motivated and responds positively to treat-based interaction, showing increased interest and engagement when food rewards are offered. Overall, Bobby displayed affiliative behavior and a receptive temperament, with food motivation serving as a strong positive reinforcement tool during interaction." Bobby is a sweet, gentle boy who may start off a little shy but quickly shows his affectionate side. He’s been described as friendly, calm, and even cuddly, especially once he feels safe. He enjoys human interaction and really perks up when treats are involved—he’s very food-motivated, which makes building trust with him easy and fun. Bobby's previous owner noted he done well with children and other cats in the past, though he may prefer a home without dogs. With a little patience and a cozy environment, Bobby is sure to blossom into a loving and loyal companion.
