My story

Hello! Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Freedom, I am about 2 1/2 years old and weigh 47 lbs. I am a very special dog and will need a very special adopter.  My past has brought me here, and I have a story to tell.  I was dumped onto a farm where I could run and play all day.   At the rescue, I met lots of new friends and even got to live in a foster home with two of my very favorite people and 3 other fun 4 legged playmates!  The real story, which makes me so very sad, is that someone, who didn't know me at all, tried taking me for a walk in a big park with so many other new doggies.  I became very nervous and I wiggled out of my collar.  I saw something that looked like a bunny, and I ran up to it!  I grabbed it and tried to play.  I hurt the little dog badly, and the lady who was holding him was very mad at me for hurting her dog and her when she tried to take her dog back.  They call it "prey drive", and whenever I see a squirrel, a chicken or a rabbit I go into hunting mode.  Sadly, it's really hard for me to tell the difference between a squirrel and a puppy or a rabbit and a little dog.  They have labeled me a "Bad Dog" because of the time I bit the little dog and her person.  I have never bitten anyone on purpose before or after the incident, and I love attention from all of the people I meet.  I wiggle my whole body for anyone who comes over to greet me, and I freely give lots of big kisses too!  I can play with dogs my size and love to crash on the couch after a run around the play yard.  I am a strong girl, and will need a strong person who can stand up for me and love me unconditionally.  If you want to meet me, and think you have what it takes to love and care for me, I come with a set of instructions, but I am so sure you will fall in love with my sweet smile and my wiggly butt!  Please complete an online application to make my acquaintance.   My adoption fee includes my sterilization, microchip and registration, all core vaccines to date, dewormer and 1st month's Flea and Heartworm Preventatives.
