My story

Meet Lady Agoda! Lady was surrendered to Los Angeles Animal Care and Control - Lancaster Shelter by her owner for unknown reasons. We scooped her up girl on January 14th to become a Frosted Face. Lady is 7 years old and weighs 74 lbs. Soon after Lady arrived, she was chosen to go on a two-week Frosted Fling, and it quickly turned into a Foster home for this loving, wonderfully behaved girl. Her Foster Mom reports: "Lady is one of the smartest fosters that we have ever had. She is very tuned in to everything that is going on and definitely understands everything that we are saying. She is very motivated by praise. Lady is very mellow, friendly, and calm when meeting strangers, comes when called, knows her name, loves her bed, sleeps perfectly throughout the night, is perfectly potty trained, and shows no signs of separation anxiety. Lucy loves hugs and kisses and is very affectionate but also knows how to give people their space. She has zero reaction to everything from vacuums, hairdryers, bicycles, runners, and big trucks. Lady loves any toy that squeaks and really loves tennis balls. She can fetch but doesn’t usually give the ball back and just likes to hold it in her mouth. Lady has definitely lived in a home environment before and has free reign over our home. We never have to worry that she will touch our stuff and quietly naps when we are gone. She is also a very quiet dog. Lady gets excited for walks and needs a strong dog handler. She still has good mobility and can easily go for a mile or more. We usually walk her for 30 minutes in the morning and after work, and we take shorter walks mid-day and just before bedtime. She likes to chase birds and hunt for gophers on walks. Lady can normally walk past most dogs who are calm without any issues, but she does sometimes give them a low growl letting them know to stay away. She is very reactive to dogs who bark at her first so we have not allowed to meet other dogs. Lady seems somewhat disinterested in cats and is less reactive to them on walks as compared to dogs. Se passed her cat test at FFF, but I am not sure that she could share her home with a cat. I think Lady's ideal home would be a calmer, quieter household without young children and where she is the only pet. Lady would be a great dog for someone who is looking for a younger senior-ish dog but still has lots of personality and spunk!" Lady would love to be your only pet only if you don’t mind having lots of dog toys scattered all over the house! Please email placement@frostedfacesfoundation.org to schedule an appointment to meet this lovely Lady.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Lady Agoda, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
