Meet Frank! We can't imagine giving up an amazing dog like Frank, but that's what happened when he was surrendered to Lancaster Shelter by his owners who said they didn’t have time for him anymore. On February 11th, we scooped up Frank to become a Frosted Face. He is 13 years old and weighs 58 lbs. When on-site, Frank can be found hanging out in the lobby. This means he is an easy-going, chill fella that gets along well with other dogs (big and small!) Frank went on a two-week Frosted Fling that was extended after his fling family has only wonderful things to report. Recently, they let us know that Frank can stay with them until he's adopted! His Foster Mom shares: " This sweet boy is so easy, we've decided he can hang with us until he finds his forever home. Frank is such a love that just wants to be near you and is always up for food, belly rubs, and a snuggle. Frank is great with people and dogs anywhere we take him. And in true SoCal fashion, he lives life in a a super chill and relaxed manner. If you're looking for that low key wingman, Frank's your guy. And if you're a foodie...even better. He'll have whatever you're having! Frank will stroll up to pretty much anyone who is willing to pet him. He has shown a slight preference for the men in our home but has slept in bed with my teenage daughter, teenage son, and with my husband and me, so any warm body will do! Although Frank moves with us from room to room when he's awake, he doesn't appear to have any separation anxiety when home alone. Frank knows Sit and Shake and takes his medicine easily in a pill pocket like a treat. He loves food and hangs around while you're eating or in the kitchen if you're chopping things up, hoping for a bite. He enjoys puzzles and lickimats but not so much kongs or bones. Frank is potty trained and seems to be able to hold it forever! Frank not a huge fan of walks, but treats every so often help to encourage him to keep going. He loves dog beach and has enjoyed a few trips to the softball fields to wander the outfield and take a nap in the grass. Frank eventually played with our resident dog but mostly while lying on his back. He's not bothered by other dogs, big or small. Frank's vision is diminished by cataracts. He sometimes trips up a curb or bumps into the foot rest of our lazy boy chair. We help him in and out of our SUV due to his arthritis, but I'm pretty sure he could get into a regular car on his own. Frank doesn't ask for much, just to hang with his people and get a good belly rub every now and then. He's the best!" Please email placement@frostedfacesfoundation.org to meet this wonderful boy!
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Frank, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
