My story

This energetic 2-year-old, 56-pound American Pitbull Terrier mix is ready to find a home where he can run, play, and get all the love he craves! Bubby came to the shelter as an owner surrender because his family could no longer care for him. Now, he’s looking for a new family who can keep up with his high-energy and playful spirit. Bubby absolutely loves people! He gets so excited to see you that he’ll jump up and greet you with enthusiasm, and he adores all the attention and affection you can give him. He’s a fun, loving guy who will give you hugs and kisses if you let him, and he’s always ready to play. He’s also very vocal—he’ll give a little cry when you’re not interacting with him because he just wants to have fun and be with you! Due to his high energy, Bubby pulls on the leash a lot and gets very excited when he sees other dogs. Bubby will need to be the only dog in the home. A home without other pets will be the best fit for him, where he can get all the attention he craves. Bubby’s ideal family is active and ready to give him the training, structure, and exercise he needs to be his best self. He’s a sweet, loving boy, but he needs a strong leader who can help him channel his energy and teach him to listen.
