Gucci

My story

Gucci is a very sweet 11-year-old Yorkie Terrier Mix.  He weighs 14.5 pounds (6.5 kg) and has a strong heart and lungs so he can provide love to his forever family for many years to come.  He is very good with dogs and cats and would love to live with another small dog if possible.  If not, he would also be happy as a single dog.  Gucci is a bit timid with strangers but shows no aggression.  His foster parents have left him alone for a few hours and he seems content to sleep while they are away.  Gucci is very excited when they return, running to greet them at the door.  Being an older dog, he does need short walks every 4 hours during the day.  Otherwise, he may have a small accident.  As long as he has a pee before bed, he sleeps through the night until about 8:00 AM.  Then he does need to go outside right away.  Gucci loves to walk except in windy conditions.  Then he does his business and immediately turns back home.  Normal walks, he starts at a fast walk and often stretches his legs into a full run.  When he does this, it is his way of telling you he has to poop.  Being small, it is easy to keep up with him.  Gucci has personality plus once he gets to know you.  He is not very vocal.  The only time he has barked was when a stranger (to him) actually walked into the house.  He stopped very quickly when he realized his fosters knew “the stranger”. Please give this sweet boy a forever home.  You will not regret it. Good with cats: Yes.  He lived with a cat and is good with them. Good with dogs: Yes Good with kids: Yes.  Good with strangers: He is cautious and trembles at first and then relaxes and goes to them. Resource guarding issues: No Ever bitten a human: No Ever bitten a dog: No Housetrained: Yes.  Occasionally has accidents if he does not go out for a long period.  Crate trained: No Good in the car: Yes, but will shake a bit Destructive: No Energy Level: Low to medium Food: Mix of kibble and wet canned food as he only has 8 teeth.   He has been fully vetted including a full dental surgery with cleaning February 23, 2025, 8:48 am
