My story

Annie is not just a cat—she’s an experience. With her sleek black coat and piercing, knowing eyes, she looks like she stepped right out of a storybook, a feline guide with secrets to share. If you’ve ever wished for a cat like the one from Coraline, one who seems to know things beyond this world, Annie is your lady. Curious and intelligent, Annie is always watching, always learning. She moves with an effortless grace, slipping through the shadows and perching in just the right spot to observe the world around her. She’s the type of cat who will lead you to hidden wonders—whether it’s a forgotten sunbeam on the floor, a mysterious rustle behind the couch, or a moment of quiet wisdom when you need it most. She’s independent but deeply connected, the kind of cat who chooses her people with care. When she does, she’ll be your shadow, your silent guardian, and maybe—just maybe—your guide to something extraordinary. Meet and greet/adoption appointments are highly recommended to ensure the animal you are interested in is currently at the shelter. Please call or e-mail the shelter to set up an appointment to meet and adopt! DON'T FORGET! Cats often do better with a friend! All our cats and kittens have an "Adopt one and the 2nd at half the adoption fee!" bonus!!! Our kitten/cat adoption fees vary on age, special needs, lonely heart status (cats that have been with us 6+ months), and for our senior to seniors program. Our adoption fees include the following: all of our cats/kittens are current on vaccinations (FVRCP series and Rabies if over 3 months of age) at the point of adoption, dewormed, tested for Feline Leukemia (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), treated for fleas/ticks/earmites in addition to being spayed or neutered once the cat reaches 2 lbs in weight. All cats and kittens adopted from the shelter are microchipped. Adoption fees may vary in special circumstances. Because we are on a busy street, we require that all cats leaving the shelter be in a carrier. All pets are up for adoption until an approved application is processed and their adoption fee is paid.
