My story

Say hello to Max, a confident and curious 3-year-old cat who weighs in at a solid 14 pounds of playful personality. Max is neutered, fully up to date on his medical care, and ready to find a home that appreciates his spunky spirit. He’s an explorer at heart who loves interactive play and keeping tabs on everything going on around him. Max definitely brings the entertainment! That said, his play style can be a bit enthusiastic—so he’s looking for a home with older, cat savvy children, where his rough-and-tumble energy will be better appreciated. He also could live in a home with dogs, given slow introductions. If you're looking for a cat with a big personality and a playful streak, Max might just be your perfect match! Meet and greet/adoption appointments are highly recommended to ensure the animal you are interested in is currently at the shelter. Please call or e-mail the shelter to set up an appointment to meet and adopt! DON'T FORGET! Cats often do better with a friend! All our cats and kittens have an "Adopt one and the 2nd at half the adoption fee!" bonus!!! Our kitten/cat adoption fees vary on age, special needs, lonely heart status (cats that have been with us 6+ months), and for our senior to seniors program. Our adoption fees include the following: all of our cats/kittens are current on vaccinations (FVRCP series and Rabies if over 3 months of age) at the point of adoption, dewormed, tested for Feline Leukemia (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), treated for fleas/ticks/earmites in addition to being spayed or neutered once the cat reaches 2 lbs in weight. All cats and kittens adopted from the shelter are microchipped. Adoption fees may vary in special circumstances. Because we are on a busy street, we require that all cats leaving the shelter be in a carrier. All pets are up for adoption until an approved application is processed and their adoption fee is paid.
