My story

Meet Ella! Ella is a fun-loving girl who is always ready for an adventure. She’s playful, curious, and thrives when given a task, even if she’s still figuring out how to follow commands. Her zest for life is infectious, and she’s sure to bring excitement to any home! Ella’s favourite activities include zooming around the backyard, destroying stuffies, and playing tug-of-war. She also enjoys staring out the window, keeping an eye on the world outside. She’s incredibly social and friendly, greeting everyone she meets with enthusiasm (sometimes a little too much—she’s working on keeping all four paws on the ground!). She hasn’t met children in her foster home, but given her gentle nature, she would likely do well. When it comes to other dogs, Ella is eager and enthusiastic, sometimes a little too persistent if the other dog isn’t as interested in saying hello. She would do well with a tolerant dog sibling, especially one that can help her learn social cues. She hasn’t met cats, but she has a curious interest in small animals like birds, squirrels, and rabbits, though she gives up the chase quickly. Ella is house trained and walks well on a leash, though she can pull when something exciting catches her attention. She’s comfortable napping or eating in her crate with the door open but hasn’t quite adjusted to being crated with the door closed. She also has a bit of a mischievous side—she loves to gently mouth hands for attention and will happily help herself to your plate if given the chance! The perfect home for Ella would be with an active family that enjoys outdoor adventures and has the patience to help her continue her training.
