Scrappy

My story

A26226 Scrappy is a tan with white colored, approximately 7 and a half-year-old, 73-pound, neutered male, Pitbull. He entered the shelter as an owner surrender on 03-12-2025 due to the fact they were moving in with elderly grandparents and couldn’t bring him. Scrappy is a friendly, eager and excited boy here at the shelter. Our staff says he is very excited to see people and is waiting for you at the kennel door. He was the same when we encountered new people during our walks, excited and happy to see them and get love and attention. He is very excited to go for a walk and will rush the kennel door, ready to go. He was easy to leash but is a hard puller on our walks. He has had some training and will “sit” upon command. But he would benefit from some training to be his best family member. In the play yard he gets excited about whatever toy or treat you have and will jump up on you trying to get it. He has no interest in other dogs here at the shelter. The previous owner did say he does not like small dogs or cats. We would recommend a home with no small children as he is so high energy and jumps up on you wanting to play. But he does love people. The previous owner said he is house broken and has lived with children, but not dogs or cats. She did also say he has a corn meal allergy. Scrappy will be a fun-loving family member in his new forever home.
