Herbie

My story

Herbie is a mixed black and white dog with boundless energy and a great attitude. He knows basic commands like “sit” and “shake,” and he’s always eager to learn more—especially if there’s a treat or some praise involved. Herbie is a smart, active boy who keeps his kennel clean and tries his best to be a good boy. He’s full of playful energy, loves to run and explore, and is happiest when he’s getting his zoomies out or spending time with his people. Whether he’s showing off what he knows or soaking up new things, Herbie is ready for a home that can match his spirit and keep him engaged. He’s got the brains, the energy, and the heart—now he just needs the right person to share it all with. He would do good with cats, given slow intros, and would do well with children. Since many of our adoptable dogs are in foster homes, appointments are highly recommended to ensure the animal you are interested in is currently at the shelter. Please call or e-mail the shelter to set up an appointment to meet and adopt! Our adoption fees include the following: all of our dogs/puppies are current on vaccinations (DHPP and Rabies if over 3 months of age) at the point of adoption, dewormed, heartworm tested and current on preventative, microchipped, treated for fleas/ticks and are spayed or neutered. Our large dog adoption fee is generally $175 + tax. Our small dog and puppy adoption fee is generally $275+ tax. Adoption fees may vary in special circumstances. Due to space limitations, we do not hold dogs. Because we are on a busy street, we require that all dogs leaving the shelter be in a carrier or on leash. All pets remain up for adoption until an approved application is processed and their adoption fee paid.
