My story

Hi!  My name is Patty and I am looking for a forever home.  I was picked up as a stray and taken to a really scary place called a shelter where, after no one came for me and my time was up, I was placed on something bad called "the list".  A nice rescue lady came to the shelter to get two other dogs on this list and after she saw me and they told her I was going to be "up next", I got lucky as she got me, too.  She then asked BCAA if they might be able to help me and my luck held when they said yes!  I appear to be a really small lab mix as I am only about 24lbs; but I am also thought to be around 8months old so I might grow a little bigger but probably not too much, so if you always wanted a lab but thought they were too big, I'm your girl!!!  Don't be fooled by my pictures as I know I look pretty serious in them, but I was scared of that black box in front of my foster mom's face (when she put it down I was all smiles!).  I am a little shy when first meeting new people but it doesn't take me long at all to figure out that you're not going to hurt me and then I love getting attention.  My foster parents say I'm super smart as I am a quick learner, picking up sit and walking good on a leash in no time (treats help).  I have done really well in my crate without any accidents or tearing up of my bedding; however, I would really like to be out with you, and if I see or hear you I will sometimes let you know not to forget about me.  I have gotten along with the other dogs I have met and play a lot with my friend Jovi who is a lot bigger than me; I haven't bothered those things called cats.  If you would like to meet me, please fill out an application which can be found at www.bcaaofnj.org.Interested in adopting this pet?Click here for BCAA's on-line Application!
