My story

Hi!  My name is Petey and I am looking for a forever home.  My previous owner found me about a year ago and while he loved me, he was in the military and was being deployed for a long time and wanted me to find a good home.  BCAA heard about me and said they would help me ... yeah!  I appear to be what some folks call a chi-weenie ... part chihuahua and part dachshund.  I'm right about 14lbs and am not expected to get any bigger although my foster mom thinks I should probably gain a pound or two which means I get a little extra food and treats (yum!).  I've gotten along with all of the other dogs my size and haven't bothered those things called cats; but my most favorite thing of all is to be with my person ... I love to be in your lap or next to you and will bond quickly to someone showing me some TLC.  I've done well in my crate without any accidents or tearing up of my bedding; however, I really prefer to be out with you and will let you know not to forget about me if I hear or see you.  I do real good on leash and enjoy going out for adventures.  If you would like to meet me, please fill out an application at www.bcaaofnj.org.Interested in adopting this pet?Click here for BCAA's on-line Application!
