My story

Female, 7 years old, 7 lbs Personality: adaptable, brave, protective, gentle, and quiet. Meet sweet, gentle Arena! Arena's favorite thing to do is lounge and watch TV – preferably cuddled up right next to her foster human on the sofa. When it’s time to go outside, she enjoys a leisurely stroll and then heads right back to the couch for her next nap. Arena is good with other dogs and is content to leave human toys (or “toys,” such as socks), alone. This smart pup knows the word "come" and is well on her way to mastering house training. Arena is crate trained, but her foster trusts her to roam freely when left alone. She's shy at first but will warm up once she realizes you are a friend, and she loves the teenagers in her foster home. Could Arena be your perfect fit? We do not have a shelter. CDCK has a thorough adoption process to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats (we do not operate under a first-come, first-served model). Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter for dogs six months and older. We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam before adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDCK. City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us. Dog specific: Rabies, DHPP, Lepto and Bordetella vaccines. They are tested for HW, Lyme, Ehrlichia, Anaplasmosis. Most cats and dogs will have a house-training accident in the initial days in their new home and we cannot guarantee any pet is housebroken or crate trained.
