My story

Hi there! My name is Goldie and I'm at the Santa Maria Campus. I'm a 4 year old, female, domestic medium hair who came to SB Humane in search of a new caring home. I’m Goldie, the quiet, with sunshine-toned fur, I peek from the shadows, but one day, I’ll purr. I love little hideouts and watching from high, Where I feel most safe, and the world passes by. New sounds can startle, new faces take time, But I’m learning that gentle is perfectly fine. With soft voices, patience, and calm every day, I’ll slowly start showing my sweet, golden way. One paw at a time, I’ll come down to see— The kind human heart that believes most in me. And when I feel ready, I’ll nuzzle in close, Because love, when it’s slow, is the love I love most. Interested in meeting me? Adoption Centers are open daily 12-4:30pm, closed Wednesdays. Adoptions are on a first-come first served basis. For more information please email Adopt@SBHumane.org or call 805-964-4777. When I am adopted, I will have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. My adopters will receive a certificate for a free veterinary exam and our partners at Purina will provide a supply of food for my first few days at home. Our adoption fees help support our community programs and the next animal who needs our help!
