Greetings world. They call me BABY BLUE and here is a bit about me:Breed: Husky/Labrador Retriever mixAge: 2.5 yearsGender: FemaleWeight: 49 lbsHeight: 22 inCountry of origin: Republic of GeorgiaHighlights: loyal, responsive, intelligent, sensitive eyes, affectionate, husky talker I'm a very loyal and responsive girl, who knows what she likes and what she doesn't.As a small puppy shivering in the winter cold, I threw myself at the feet of my rescuers outside of a bazaar and begged with them with my striking blues eyes to be picked up. I was persistent, and followed them from shop to shop. My intelligence picked up on the fact they were the right people to help me. When they reached their car at the end of the road, I threw my paws around their ankles. They asked the nearby vendors if anyone knew me or my family. They said “no”, but they let her sleep behind their stalls at night, so they scooped me up and took me back to the refuge. Phew. It is unknown what happened to the lower part of my tail.My vision is keen, but my blue eyes are sensitive to light and I squint when outside in direct sunlight. I bet a pair of Rex Specs (doggie sunglasses) will help a lot. I like to relax in a darkened room during the day, and prefers to spend most of my time indoors. Having my own crate half- covered in front with a cloth or a bed under a table covered with a tablecloth is good too.Though I get along with other dogs, I like having a space of my own as well. I would make a lovely companion for a solo owner or a couple. I am an affectionate girl, as well as intelligent.I can be headstrong at times... ok, there's the husky part of me. While I can act protective of area, I am not aggressive. Instead, I become the dramatic vocal queen... yea, more husky there. As an example: if a non-roommate tries to come into my room, I yowl and complain until they leave. Heeheee. (I sleep in my rescuer's room with 5 other dogs, and I only let them in.) Bratty I know, but it is part of my charm too.https://youtube.com/shorts/Qvw0fA4fH-c?si=5Ki3VTHnMfwZWYiM,https://youtube.com/shorts/TNkrTnQaKpk?si=_xhNO2OB-6_4Uy1E More vids to come. Stand by. Energy level: Moderate - highI get along with:Dogs: YesCats: Unsure, but probably notKids: Unsure, probably per rescuer, no video proof though Fears: None observed. Please be patient assisting me in my transition.TRAINING:Leash training: Yes. Please be prepared to continue training.House trained: Yes. Please help me learn where to go in my new home. Health notes:I have sensitive eyes, squinting in the sun. Need a dark room to rest in the daytime, and shaded areas outside. I tend to get cold easily. Part of my tail is missing.I have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. My adoption fee is $800.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. This includes my transportation to Canada, if I am able to be accompanied by a flight volunteer directly to Vancouver. But if you can find it in your heart to help with a donation towards my crate fee, the rescuers would be ever grateful. Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 - $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs. You will NOT be asked to pay a passenger fee on top of the cargo fee. [MID-EAST] *Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordetella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East.[TURKEY] Dogs from Turkey receive a 4D SNAP test to include Heartworm, Ehrlichiosis, Leishmania and Anaplasmosis. ##2381074##
