My story

This amazing pup came all the way from South Carolina to look for their new homes. Blondey is still very much a baby, so he’ll need all the usual puppy basics: continued socialization (we recommend a good positive reinforcement class), house training, leash skills, and plenty of gentle guidance as he grows. If you're ready to adopt now: Come on in during open adoption hours Tuesday - Saturday 12:30-3:00! For in-shelter pets (not in foster care) You can also: Call us (413-781-4000 x 1) or email us (springfield@dakinhumane.org) for more information about a pet, to adopt sight unseen or to place a 24 hour hold on a pet. We are often on the line with another client, but we return voice mail and emails within 24 hours. All adult dog adoption fees include; -spay/neuter -rabies and kennel cough vaccinations - heartworm test -current parvo/distemper vaccines (may need additional boosters with your veterinarian) -microchip implanted & registered to adopter -treatment of fleas & ticks -veterinary exam and health certificate at Dakin -free vet exam within 30 days of adoption with participating veterinarians Most pets have also received other medical care while with us. Your veterinarian may recommend additional health care for your pet.
