My story

Meet Shadow Suitcase! Shadow was adopted from San Diego Humane Society in 2013. Sadly, now 12 years old, he was surrendered back to the shelter with his little friend Marley (also available for adoption.) We scooped up Shadow on May 7th to become a Frosted Face. He weighs 79 lbs. and is a very sweet and gentle boy. As you can see in the videos, Shadow... * Passed his cat test! * Lets Marley be the boss in their relationship! * Does great in our play yard with his new Frosted friends Clover and Rocky. Shadow and Marley went on a two-week Frosted Fling, so we could learn more about them in a home environment. While we usually use crates at first for routine and safety, these two have made them their go-to spots for serious snoozing. 🐶 Shadow is the gentle giant — quiet, calm, and always ready to say "hi" to passing pups at the park. He’s extremely tolerant of his little-big brother Marley’s bossy streaks and loves to chase a ball. Shadow is a total people pleaser. He’ll patiently wait his turn for a treat and offers a perfect “sit” — he won’t budge until released! S 🦴 Marley is a spicy little senior full of opinions and energy. He’s mostly quiet, but when he gets excited or wants to play, you’ll definitely hear about it! But once you’ve earned his trust, he’ll happily accept your love… in just the right way. 🐾 Together Marley always finds a comfy spot near Shadow, and Shadow patiently puts up with Marley’s antics. They get along well with other dogs and show no resource guarding. Their bond is strong, their manners are shining, and their hearts are open. They’re playful, curious, and very endearing. Marley and Shadow have been a pleasure to foster — and now it’s your turn to fall in love.
