My story

* AVAILABLE FOR OUR FOSTER TO ADOPT PROGRAM* Queen B is a 1 year-old, 29-pound female terrier mix from New York! She has adjusted very well during her time with her foster family in the South Brooklyn. Queen B enjoys walks, playing with her carrot toy, and affectionate petting sessions.  She is doing well understanding sit, wait, and off. Having an owner who can continue with obedience train will go a long way! She is a very smart dog.  During her time with her foster family, Queen B has been house trained to pee and potty outside, with an occasional accident inside as she adjusts. She is still working on leash skills and when she is comfortable during a walk she does not pull. When it’s a new environment or she’s feeling excited then it’s worthwhile to continue leash pulling training.  The best way to describe Queen B is like an adorable bunny- her moods include being a calm bundle of sweetness to a high energy  pup who is ready for a walk! Her favorite way to show affection is to gently put her paws on you and stand tall almost like a rabbit, while she tucks her head into you for a warm hug.  Queen B’s forever family will need to continue working with Queen B to reinforce and advance the progress she’s been making. This includes socializing with people and other dogs, as well as crate training. Queen B has done well in crate during the day but needs more patience and training for her separation anxiety.  Queen B loves to be cozy with her foster family and can often be found with her favorite carrot or Kong treat.  Queen B is looking for a medium/active family. She appreciates downtime moments to chew on her toy and active moments to sniff around! She would be to solo dog. We would recommend Queen B go to a home with older children who have an understanding to not make sudden jumpy movements as she can get scared.  Vaccinated for rabies, DHPP, and bordetella. Neutered, heartworm negative, and microchipped. Current on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention.  To adopt Queen Bee, visit our website (www.waggytailrescue.org) for a foster application. It is important to fill out an application as soon as possible for consideration, and we require a complete application for you to meet an animal. We are currently unable to respond to general email inquiries as an all-volunteer run rescue. If the dog is on our website, they are still available. Waggytail Rescue CANNOT guarantee the exact age of any adoptable dog, or final size of any of our adoptable puppies. We rely on the information provided to us by veterinarians, shelters, owner surrenders and other circumstances bringing the dog into our rescue. Questions: adopt@waggytailrescue.org ##2381710##

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Queen Bee, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
