My story

Meet Mailo! Mr. Mailo recently arrived to HAP when his previous owner could no longer take care of him. He's been super shy so we're still getting to know him but here's a few things we've learned so far! Mailo is a mischievous kitty who loves to play coy for pets. He'll move his head away only to turn around and head butt your hand and demand attention to then just give you a little love nip on your finger - he can't make up his mind! However, there are times where he will demand scratches after scratches and will soak up all the attention - it really just depends on his mood at the time. We've tried Mailo in the free roaming cat room a few times and he's preferred to keep to himself so a home as the only cat or with cats that would respect his space would be best. As we get to know Mailo, we'll continue to update his profile. If you are interested in adopting this cat, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific cat but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! We may require all household members, including children, to come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, and a small bag of food to get you started.
