My story

Stormy is a 1-year-old, 15-pound mix of mystery, mischief, and major cuddle potential. With her long legs (possibly borrowed from a baby deer), a fabulously awkward underbite, and soulful hazel eyes she’s the kind of dog who keeps life interesting and your heart full.Stormy is housebroken, politely knocks (okay, scratches) at the door when nature calls, and prefers if you join her outside—because what’s a potty break without moral support? She’s crate-trained, though she’s still working on her enthusiasm for it (think: quiet acceptance, not tail-wagging joy). On leash, she’s curious and polite—more of a meanderer than a marcher. Her recall is surprisingly good, especially when it leads to treats, toys, or cuddles.She’s friendly with other dogs and warms up quickly, especially to those close to her size. She’d likely love a small playmate, but she’s just as happy entertaining herself by tossing toys in the air or proudly carrying them around like trophies. She also enjoys a game of fetch and is working on her greeting skills—currently, she believes everyone wants a hug from her, and she’s happy to provide one with a gentle jump.More than anything, Stormy is a total sweetheart with a big heart and even bigger love for her people. She’s snuggly, happy, eager to please, and always ready to be your tiny shadow. The adoption fee is $350 and covers all expenses needed to prepare dogs like this one for their forever homes. By the time you meet them, they’ve already been spayed/neutered (if age-appropriate) and microchipped. They’ve been checked by a veterinarian and are up to date on necessary vaccinations, including Rabies and DHLPP. They have also been tested for heartworm and tick-borne diseases and have started heartworm and flea preventative medication. Some of our dogs have even undergone extensive medical care to ensure they’re ready for a happy, healthy life with you!
