My story

Say hello to Doug!He is a 3 year old mixed breed dog who weighs about 12 pounds. Doug arrived in our care after he wasn`t being cared for properly, so he still needs to gain a bit of weight, but he will likely be under 15-20 pounds when he`s a healthy weight. Due to his past, he can be shy at first with new people, but once he knows you he is incredible affectionate and loving. He isn`t quite sure how to play with toys, but he`s happy as long as he has one of his human companions by his side! Doug has lived with dogs in the past, but he seems nervous with new dogs, so he would need a slow introduction to make sure he is comfortable with new dogs. Due to his sensitivity, if there are kids in his forever home they should be ages 10 and older, but he may show potential with younger visiting kids once he`s comfortable in his new home.
