My story

Meet Bellina! This beautiful girl is gentle, joyful, and seems to always be smiling no matter what life throws her way. When Bellina was surrendered to the shelter in Baltimore, she didn’t cry or cower. She wagged her tail. She looked up with cloudy eyes and greeted every dog, every human, and every stranger with kindness and grace. Bellina has a few hurdles ahead. She’s not yet spayed, has small mammary masses that need evaluation and removal, and her eyes have clearly been neglected for a long time. We don’t know yet if her vision can be saved ~ but we do know she deserves the very best chance. Bellina is settling in at her foster home and has dazzled them with her million dollar smile and the little ballerina twirls she does when she's excited. She's proven to be a world-class snuggler and total lap dog who loves being with her people. She doesn't need much exercise but enjoys going for a few leisurely strolls a day, and is fully housetrained. Her ideal forever family will be home with her much of the time, take her with them on fun adventures, and love having her snooze on their laps as much as possible. Oh, and they'll have cheese - lots of cheese! Bellina will officially be ready for adoption once her medical needs have been addressed, but you can get ahead of the game now by submitting an application.
