My story

** $385 in pledges to any rescue that may pull! ** Aldora ACCT-A-221188 is currently considered urgent and at risk of euthanasia due to medical concerns. Aldora must have confirmed placement with an RESCUE PARTNER by Tuesday, June 3rd at 10 A.M. Should Aldora's medical or behavioral status change, her urgency and timeline for placement may also change. Aldora is a 1-year-old spayed female who was surrendered to ACCT on 5/24 due to health concerns. Her previous owner reported that she had lived with cats and children, was neutral with strangers and kids, but showed aggression and growling toward other cats. They also noted symptoms such as vomiting, diarrhea, and what appeared to be tumors on her stomach. Upon intake, Aldora was found to have soft, possibly mammary-related masses along her belly. These may be mammary tumors or related to an ovarian remnant. Further diagnostics, such as cytology or biopsy, are recommended to determine the cause. VIDEO: Meet Aldora! https://youtube.com/shorts/r7IeqX1-dYs Aldora enjoying pets https://youtube.com/shorts/-9KCpRKTGeQ On 5/30, staff noted: "Very sweet, social, and playful baby. She comes right up to you for attention and immediately melts into your arms, rolling around and allowing pets all over. She even let me lift her up to take photos of the mass on her belly and allowed me to touch it—she was just soaking up the attention and loving the affection." Per an exam on 5/26: “BAR, normal mentation. Mild accumulation of ceruminal debris AU. No nasal discharge. Lenses clear OU, no ocular discharge. MMs light pink, teeth clean on cursory evaluation. Cardiac and pulmonary auscultation obscured due to purring, no M/A ausculted, eupneic. Abdomen palpates softly and without pain, no organomegaly appreciated. Altered female indicated by tattoo. Previously identified mass(es) appear to be subcutaneous in origin and associated with the mammary chain most prominently of the cranial chain, with smaller masses/development of the caudal mammary chain. BCS 3.5/9 with appropriate muscling. Ambulatory x4, full ortho/neuro exam NP. FeLV/FIV negative. Assessment shows that Aldora has Mammary masses vs. mammary development after OVH r/o ovarian remnant syndrome vs. mammary masses. Mammary chain findings could represent neoplastic changes, but considering that the mammary chain seems diffusely developed, an ovarian remnant is possible. Recommend FNA/cytology and/or biopsy of most prominent mass for further assessment.” On 5/24 during an intake intake exam it was noted that Aldora has a possible tumor hanging. Very soft and squishy. Due to being significantly overcapacity with dogs and cats and higher than usual intake, extensions are unlikely to be granted. If you are interested in an animal please contact ACCT Philly immediately. Due to limited space, timestamps may also be proceeded with early so it is imperative to let us know if you are considering adopting or tagging a dog or cat. Confirmed placement is considered confirmation of an actual rescue pull. Possible placement, interested parties, and other "TBD" statuses are not considered confirmed and do not indicate an animal is no longer urgent. ACCT Philly is located at 111 West Hunting Park Ave in Philadelphia. We are open for adoptions 7 days a week. Please visit www.acctphilly.org/adopt for details. All animals at ACCT Philly are from Philadelphia, as the only open intake animal shelter in Philadelphia, we are not able to accept animals from outside of Philadelphia. ACCT Philly’s Pennsylvania kennel license number is 08313

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Aldora, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
