My story

Introducing Evelyn! This beauty was brought to the shelter with ID on 5/25 because she was on a journey to find her way home. Sadly, no one has come to reclaim this amazing young lady. Evelyn is only 2 years, 1 month, and 2 weeks old and weighs a mere 62lbs. The volunteers describe her as super sweet, so cute, and obedient. Evelyn loves to play dress up and loves belly rubs and those awesome pup cups! She would love to continue to receive those sweet pup cups! She is a smart gal as she knows how to sit when asked and she may know more. She is great on a leash as well. Please take some time and visit with her in Run 51; her ID is 10286. She is waiting for you! Please help her find her way out of the shelter and into your heart, home and family. Evelyn is current on vaccines, spayed and microchipped and sadly she has tested positive for heart worm. With treatment, however, dogs who test positive for heartworms usually go on to live long and healthy lives. Ask the shelter about the option of fostering to adopt. Please take some time and schedule to meet this awesome kiddo and get to know her a little better. Evelyn is probably what you have been looking for all this time. She is patiently waiting for her forever family to save her life. Please give her the chance to have the life she has been waiting her whole life for. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. Shelter hours: Tues. - Sun. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed Mondays & Holidays. The adoption includes shots, altering, a heart worm or combo test and a microchip.
