My story

Meet Buc-ees, the ultimate travel companion—if your journey includes a couch, a sunny window, and a good nap. This orange and white gentleman is as mellow as they come. He’s got a calm, easygoing vibe that makes him the perfect buddy for slow mornings, lazy afternoons, and quiet evenings. With his dapper looks and dignified demeanor, Buc-ees is basically a feline statesman—distinguished, composed, and always cool under pressure. He’s not asking for much—just a cozy spot to lounge and someone to hang out with. If you’re looking for a laid-back pal who appreciates the finer things in life (like a warm sunbeam and your quiet company), Buc-ees is ready to ride shotgun on life’s chill highway. Meet and greet/adoption appointments are highly recommended to ensure the animal you are interested in is currently at the shelter. Please call or e-mail the shelter to set up an appointment to meet and adopt! DON'T FORGET! Cats often do better with a friend! All our cats and kittens have an "Adopt one and the 2nd at half the adoption fee!" bonus!!! Our kitten/cat adoption fees vary on age, special needs, lonely heart status (cats that have been with us 6+ months), and for our senior to seniors program. Our adoption fees include the following: all of our cats/kittens are current on vaccinations (FVRCP series and Rabies if over 3 months of age) at the point of adoption, dewormed, tested for Feline Leukemia (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), treated for fleas/ticks/earmites in addition to being spayed or neutered once the cat reaches 2 lbs in weight. All cats and kittens adopted from the shelter are microchipped. Adoption fees may vary in special circumstances. Because we are on a busy street, we require that all cats leaving the shelter be in a carrier. All pets are up for adoption until an approved application is processed and their adoption fee is paid.
