My story

Meet Boca! Boca entered Orange County Animal Care as a stray. When she wasn't claimed, we scooped her up to become a Frosted Face on June 5th. Unfortunately, like many dogs who have spent time in a shelter, Boca came to us with pneumonia. After several weeks of being under the care of our on-site veterinary team, Boca is doing better and is currently on a two-week Frosted Fling, so she can continue her recovery in the comforts of a home. Boca is estimated to be 10 years old and weighs 25 lbs. She is very sweet and gentle. Her Fling Mom shared this update: "Boca is feeling stronger and better. She is THE EASIEST eater ever. She will eat anything, knows when snack times are, and when breakfast and dinner are served. If she's not already in the same room, she tracks me down and stares at me, unblinking, until she’s fed. When I leave, Boca curls up in bed and sleeps the entire time, doesn’t make a peep. She enjoys listening to the Eagles on Pandora and wallflowers radio. Boca lets you know when she has to potty. She walks towards the door, or if she is in my lap, tries to jump to let me know. Boca is great with nail clipping; it doesn’t even phase her! Boca really loves being in the backyard and loves being independent out there to sniff around. We’re going to try our first stroller ride today to see how she likes that. Boca a doll, and I love her. She seems to be feeling better every day, and it's wonderful to see." Stay tuned for the next update on how Boca is doing in her Fling home!
