Meet Milo Freeman! Milo is a gentle soul with a sweet, calm temperament. For over 16 years, he was his mom's constant companion. As Milo grew older, she planned her days around her beloved pup. Their routine included daily walks, trips to their favorite stores, quiet evenings of snuggling while watching television. Tragically, Milo's mom passed away suddenly and unexpectedly at the end of May due to an undetected brain bleed. She had been preparing to take Milo for one of their daily walks—something she never missed—when the incident occurred, and he was by her side as it happened. Milo was entrusted to our care through our Final Wish Program in late June, and as you can imagine, adjusting to the environment at FFF has been difficult for this heartbroken guy. Fortunately, one of our dedicated volunteers noticed how lost Milo was and took him home for a two-week Frosted Fling. He has now been on his Fling for over a month, and thankfully, he is doing so much better in a home environment. His Fling Mom shared this update about what she has learned about Milo: 🐞Milo is such a sweet boy, and he's CUTE as a bug! 🛌 His primary activity is sleeping. Awake times are usually centered around potty breaks. 🍽️ Eating can be hit or miss. Some days he’s picky. Some days, he won’t eat at all. I find it's best to keep a variety of food on hand. 🐕 He’s good with big and small dogs—just doesn’t like them in his face. 🐈 He’s fine with cats - My cats ignore him. 🚶♂️ He’s a very independent little guy. He’ll let you carry him if needed, but he much prefers to walk—slowly—on his own. 🛋️ He likes to lay near you on the couch and sleep. Favorite place is on a big dog bed in a quiet room. 🐾No separation anxiety. Milo is a sweet, affectionate guy looking for a peaceful retirement home where he can live out his golden years surrounded by love. He enjoys the simple pleasures of life: cozy naps, being close to his people, and lots of little treats throughout the day. He finds comfort in his routines, and a quiet home and a predictable routine will help him feel safe and secure. If you have room in your heart and home for Milo, please email: placement@frostedfacesfoundation.org.
