My story

Meet Bestie! Bestie became a Frosted Face in February 2022 after we rescued him from Downey Shelter. After spending 3 years in a home, he recently returned to our care. Now 13 years old, Bestie is still a spry guy who enjoys going for walks and jumping around and playing with you. The way his age is showing is that his vision has diminished a bit. For this reason, a home without small children who might startle Bestie is preferred. Bestie is a total cuddle bug who loves pets, snuggling, and being close. He gets along great with other dogs, too! Cats, unfortunately, are a no. Bestie recently served as an FFF ambassador at a senior dog yoga fundraiser along with 8 other Frosted Faces. He is such a social butterfly! Bestie went on a two-week Frosted Fling to spend time in a home while he waits for his forever family. Might that be you? His Fling Mom reports: "Bestie decompressed easily at our house-- and showed us he's ready to love again. Bestie is everything you want if you long for a devoted companion -- a shadow, velcro guy but without the anxiety. He just loves you and wants to be around you. He lives up to his name -- he really will be your Bestie. He sleeps like a log for 10+ hours. Loves to bed hop. Runs zoomies when he's happy or overstimulated (as in after a bath). We have six senior dogs, and I think Bestie would feel safer not having to share with so many. He deserves lots of individual attention and devotion -- and he will revel in it. Don't get me wrong, Bestie is easy-going and definitely can get along with another dog or two. But I can tell his previous losses have left him unsure of how cherished he is. It would be such a gift to assure Bestie that he is special and loved and that he doesn't have to compete for it.
