My story

Meet Mater! Sweet Mater was seen being thrown from a car, together with two other dogs. Thankfully someone saw it happen and scooped them up. They are all safe in our care now and doing great. Mater is a lovely little guy. He was a bit timid when he arrived, understandably, but is doing much better now and is coming out of his shell. We think he is around 1 year old and he is fairly small at around 10-12 lbs.  Mater is becoming the best little dog and is eager to please his humans! He is still a bit unsure about some things but is learning and getting more confident each day. His little zoomies and tippy taps are the cutest you’ll see and he is motivated by verbal praise and belly rubs. He will be a fantastic sweet companion. He will do great with another dog in the home to gain more confidence. Kids over 8 is best for him as fast and unpredictable movements are a little scary for him.  Mater is vaccinated, chipped and neutered. His adoption fee is $450   We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life!
