Zulie

My story

At 16 weeks old, Zulie is the perfect mix of tender-hearted and tenacious, with a touch of diva flair and just enough puppy mischief to keep life interesting. She’s got the kind of gaze that looks straight into your soul and a bouncy play style that says, “Let’s cause a little chaos… then snuggle about it.” Zulie and her siblings came from a heartbreaking situation, left in a makeshift outdoor pen in rural Kansas after their owner was sent to prison. Left exposed to the elements and totally on their own, the pups were thankfully brought to safety here in Nebraska. The litter had been exposed to parvo along the way, and while Zulie did get a mild case, she pulled through like the tough little cookie she is, tail wagging and ready for love. On top of everything, Zulie also had eyelid surgery when she was just a baby. Now fully healed, she rocks a slightly scarred eyelid. She’s soft, silly, and fiercely affectionate, equally happy to pounce through the yard or curl up to be held loke a baby in your lap. Zulie is working on her potty training, sleeps quietly in her crate, and is working on her leash skills. She is now fully vetted with her vax, spay, and microchip and ready to go. She’s been around dogs, cats, and kids, and she’s a little social magnet once she feels safe. She loves her people deeply and sticks close to them, following like a shadow with paws. After all she’s been through, Zulie is more than ready to find a forever home where she can be safe, spoiled, and unconditionally adored. She's done surviving, it’s time to thrive.
