My story

Say hello to Juniper, a resilient and radiant black lab mix with a heart as big as her smile. Weighing around 35 pounds, she’s the perfect medium-sized companion for everything from morning coffee runs to weekend hikes—or just lounging around with her favorite people. Juniper’s story is one of loyalty and love. She was found in the middle of nowhere, faithfully staying with her litter of puppies after being abandoned. Thanks to a kind soul, she and her pups were brought to safety—and now it’s Juniper’s turn to find the loving home she deserves. Despite her tough start, Juniper is bursting with joy and affection. She adores people, gets along wonderfully with other dogs, and brings a contagious zest for life wherever she goes. Outgoing, playful, and full of tail wags, Juniper is the kind of dog who makes every day brighter. She’s ready to trade in her past for a future filled with love, belly rubs, and all the happiness she can handle. Come meet Juniper—your new best friend is waiting! Our adoption fee helps cover expenses (vaccinations, microchips, spay/neuter, food, housing) for the homeless pets we rescue. UAF does not adopt or ship outside the state of Arizona. To ensure the best fit, UAF conducts a home visit to meet other pets and verify a safe, secure yard. If you have any questions or to adopt a dog an application must submitted.
