My story

Meet Gala Gold, the future apple of your eye! Gala Gold is a 1-year-old chihuahua mix with a heart full of love and a body small enough to fit perfectly in your lap—her favorite place to be. She's as gentle and sweet as they come, happiest when she's curled up beside you for a long cuddle session or playing with her toys. She’s still learning that the big city isn't so scary (city noises are SO rude, honestly), so we’re helping her build confidence on walks. She's happy to go out there with you but I don't think she quite enjoys it just yet. For now, she’s doing well with pee pads indoors and growing braver every day. Gala will flourish in a calm, loving home with someone who appreciates that small dogs can have wonderfully big hearts. Though she’s tiny, her loyalty, affection, and gentle spirit will bring warmth and joy to your life in all the best ways. Gala Gold is currently being fostered in Manhattan, NY. The adoption fee for this animal is $550. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week.
