My story

Meet Blake – The Gentle Hand-Holding Homebody Blake is a 5-year-old, 11-pound Jack Russell mix who was rescued from a hoarding situation and is now discovering the comforts of a safe and loving home. This sweet little guy is the ultimate cuddle companion—he loves being carried, snuggling close, and, most of all, holding your hand. He’ll reach out with his paw for you to hold, and it’s just about the sweetest thing you’ll ever experience. Blake is house-trained, puppy pad trained, and crate trained, and while he isn’t a fan of walks yet (loud noises, busy streets, and sudden sounds scare him), he’s perfectly content being a homebody. He’s happiest in a quiet, calm environment where he can relax and feel secure. When he’s not curled up for a nap, Blake enjoys belly rubs, gentle pets, and tiny squeaky toys. He’s still learning how to play and how to trust the world outside, but his progress is heartwarming to see. Because of his past, Blake may need gentle reassurance to understand that he no longer has to “hold it” for long periods, but he’s doing great with routine and patience. This low-maintenance, affectionate love bug would thrive in a peaceful home—ideally with a cozy spot to nap, a safe yard to explore at his own pace, and a human who doesn’t mind a little paw-holding every day.
