My story

Orca has a significant anemia diagnosed at intake. He also had fleas and suspected flea dermatitis with an abnormal posture appreciated at intake. He will need follow up vet visits to monitor his anemia and ensure it is improving. What my friends at ACC say about me:My history is a mystery and my friends here do not know much about me yet!It is unknown if I have ever lived with other animals or children.I have medical needs that staff will address with you when you meet me.I am finding the shelter a little overwhelming, but when it's just you and me and some peace and quiet you'll see what a love bug I am.I am looking for a home with a patient person.I can be slow to adjust to new environments. I prefer to take things at my own pace.I will flourish in a calm environment and a low-traffic home.A volunteer writes: Not so long ago, Orca didn't have a place to go but like any industrious and creative kitty, he made one. Since the end result doesn't always reflect the careful thought process behind it, Orca's idea of running into someone's home and hiding under the bed is certainly a strategy, but didn't really work out as he'd hoped. Orca didn't want to move from his place and crossed his paws in hope that it would all work out and it kind of did. Eventually someone came and picked Orca up and brought him to us, but beautiful Orca seems wholly unprepared with what to make of this. When I went to say hello and welcome, Orca scurried against the back of his condo.
