My story

Ernest is a 6-year-old hound mix who came to BHS as a stray, and he`s been charming everyone with his sweet, enthusiastic nature ever since. He`s a loving boy who enjoys gentle attention, leisurely walks, and simply being near his people. Ernest has a big heart and an even bigger personality that shines through in quiet moments. We`re using good judgment when introducing Ernest to respectful dogs, cats, and children to ensure the best possible match.Ernest has been diagnosed with spinal cord disease, but doesn’t let that slow him down! He is looking for a strong relationship with a veterinarian to help manage his condition. As the disease progresses, his treatment plan may need adjustments. He would do best in a home where he can relax and enjoy life at his own pace. If you`re looking for a loyal companion with a gentle soul and a lot of love to give, Ernest just might be the perfect addition to your family.
