My story

I am at Oakland Animal Services in kennel Dog J:6Suri is a 1-year-old, 67-pound pittie mix with a heart full of love and a serious cuddling habit. This sweet, gentle girl is all about people. She’s a classic “velcro dog” who loves to stay close and soak up affection. Suri spent some time in a temporary foster home and got a glowing report! She's calm, loving, and was great with the older resident pup. On walks, she has lovely leash manners, knows "sit," and is treat-motivated. She was working hard on potty-training, so a patient adopter would help continue her progress. She slept through the night, settled in her crate after a few minutes, and had generally low to medium energy, though she’s a playful pup at heart. At the shelter, Suri enjoys daily playgroups, especially a good game of chase with her dog friends. Whether you’re looking for a solo snuggler or a buddy for your current dog, Suri’s gentle spirit and affectionate nature make her a wonderful fit for anyone looking for an adorable friend.August 27, 2025, 7:36 pm
