My story

Meet Hufflepup (Sa’Riyah)! This petite 32-pound sweetheart is the total package—funny, cuddly, and full of curiosity. Hufflepup is easy to leash, eager to get outside, and always ready to explore. On walks, she can be a little jumpy at first, but she quickly settles in and does well on the leash. She loves sniffing around the yard, investigating every corner, and showing off her curious, playful side.When it comes to toys, she’s hilarious—she’ll run up to them, check them out, and then go right back to her favorite pastime: sniffing! After she’s done exploring, she’ll happily climb into your lap for hugs and cuddles. She walks beautifully, takes treats well, and has no problem going back to her kennel with a little snack.Hufflepup completely stole hearts in just a few short hours of her dogs day out adventure. This petite girl is full of love and joy. She hopped right into the car and proved to be an excellent passenger, riding calmly and curiously.Her first stop was for a pup cup, which she thoroughly enjoyed before heading off to explore the grounds of Ft. McHenry. True to her adventurous spirit, Hufflepup investigated all the things—sniffing to her heart’s content. Once she had her fill of exploring, she was happy to stretch out in the grass with a bully stick (which she thought was extra fun when her human friends held it for her while she chomped away).She was polite and gentle taking treats, happily showed off her “sit” and “paw,” and soaked up every bit of affection. Hufflepup loved scratches, snuggles, and being close. Though she showed interest in other dogs, she was never reactive and was easily redirected. From the moment she was met, her sweet and gentle demeanor shined through. Anyone lucky enough to meet Hufflepup will quickly see what a precious girl she truly is!Hufflepup has met other dogs at the shelter and showed us that she’d prefer to be your one and only pup at home. She is eligible to return to BARCS for social sessions, but in her forever family, she’ll shine brightest as the center of attention.Come meet Hufflepup (Sa’Riyah) at BARCS—you’ll quickly see why she’s such a special little girl!
