My story

Have you ever dreamed of adopting a big sentient bouncy ball full of love, wiggles, and pure goofball energy? Your dream has a name, and it`s Lugg the dog! Lugg is a sweet, loving dog who will thrive with a family who can match his energy, give him plenty of playtime, and help him keep building on his good manners. This 75-pound lovable meatball is a people-lover. He doesn’t realize he’s such a big boy and may try to jump into your lap for extra snuggles! Lugg is ready to invade your heart and your personal space in the best way possible. But let’s talk real talk: Lugg is a bit picky when it comes to his canine companions. He can be reactive when meeting other dogs. Because of this, he must meet any potential doggy siblings before going home to make sure they are a good fit. He’d also be just as happy being your one and only pup. Lugg would thrive in a stimulating environment that is “low dog-traffic” to keep him focused on his family and training. If you are looking for a loyal, hilarious, one-of-a-kind adventure buddy who believes in big love, bigger zoomies, and selective doggy-socialization, Lugg might just be your guy!This pet is eligible for an Adoption Audition! What is an Adoption Audition? It’s a 5-day, no-strings-attached, trial adoption period. You can take this pet home to try it out! Interested? Come to the shelter any time during open hours and talk to one of our Customer Care staff!Be sure to check the `shelter information` box on the listing to see if the pet is located at our Fairfax Campus (4500 West Ox Road, Fairfax) or our Lorton Campus (8875 Lorton Road, Lorton). Then, come in during our open hours!
