My story

Fig is just a baby, only 9 months old, but she’s already experienced more fear than any pup should. Found scared with her littermate, Fig had to be safely trapped and brought into the shelter, where she’s slowly beginning to understand that the world, while big and loud and sometimes frightening, has love, gentle voices, and warm laps too.At 38 pounds, she’s still growing, but what’s growing even more is her courage, one quiet step at a time.Fig may not run to you right away. She may need space, patience, and time. But for the person who sees past her fear and into her fragile hope, she will be a loyal companion whose trust is the most precious gift of all.The world has been scary.
