Sage

My story

Sage is very affectionate kitty. She likes to bond with people and has zero problems being held. She likes physical contact. When she is lying next to her foster dad she often likes to make moves like putting a paw on his arm to maintain contact! She is a purr machine and she loves making biscuits. She also really loves being brushed and her coat is shiny and lovely. Since she is a big fan of the brush, her shedding is minimized. She is an expert at hiding. She spends a lot of time under her foster dad’s bed so he put a folded blanket under there for her to hang out on. As soon as she hears him on the bed, though, she jumps up for some love. She isn’t super curious by nature. She is becoming familiar with the sounds of her foster neighborhood and enjoys a calmer environment. Sage is a young cat with an old soul. Currently in foster care in Hollywood. Meet & greets / pickup will be coordinated upon approved application & homecheck video. Foster-to-adopt is always an available option and recommendation. All Del Gato kitties are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, tested for FIV/FeLv, dewormed, and flea treated prior to adoption. Thank you! ____________________ Del Gato Rescue is a small 501(c)(3) nonprofit cat rescue based in Los Angeles, CA. We are a handful of volunteers who work normal jobs by day and rescue cats on nights & weekends. We receive countless daily requests from the community for assistance with cats and kittens found outside in need of rescue. We focus on rescuing friendly cats from the streets, getting them healthy and vetted in foster care, and finding their purrrfect forever home! We prevent hundreds of cats per year from entering our city shelters and being euthanized. We also TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) and vaccinate unadoptable/feral street cats, which we believe is the only solution to the root cause of the feline population crisis. If you'd like to volunteer with us, fostering is a great way to help our cause, and it allows us space to save more kitties off the streets. If you are unable to foster, we are also always looking for help with transportation to and from vet appointments.
