She’s the most timid of the bunch, but beneath that shy exterior is a heart just waiting to burst with love. 💖 Gaining Courage: 🎡 Because she’s a little extra sensitive, puppy classes would be a dream for her! They offer a safe, low-pressure way for her to realize that new people and other dogs aren't so scary after all. 🛡️ Puppy Preschool: 🎓 She’s still learning her "outdoor etiquette" (potty training) and getting used to the feel of a leash. She’ll need a patient teacher to show her the way! 🐾 Slow & Steady: 🐌 Spinelli finds the big world a bit loud, so she’s looking for a family that celebrates the "small wins"—like the first time she initiates a play bow or trots confidently on a walk! 🦁 Spinelli is looking for a gentle leader who understands that the best things in life are worth waiting for. Once she trusts you, you’ll have a loyal best friend! 🐕✨ Ready to Adopt? You have two options: #1- VISIT IN PERSON Come during our open adoption hours: Tuesday - Saturday,12:30 - 3:00pm. You’ll be able to meet available dogs in the shelter. (Puppies in foster care are not available for in-person visits.) #2- ADOPT SIGHT UNSEEN If you’re ready to adopt without meeting the puppy first, we can help over the phone or by email. (413) 781-4000 x 1 or email springfield@dakinhumane.org. We are often helping other clients when you call, but we return voicemails and emails within 24 hours. Puppies are adopted on a first come, first served basis, and we’re not able to place holds on them. All puppy adoption fees include: -spay/neuter -kennel cough vaccination -current parvo/distemper vaccines (may need additional boosters with your veterinarian) -microchip implanted & registered to adopter -treatment of fleas & ticks -veterinary exam and health certificate at Dakin -free vet exam within 30 days of adoption with participating veterinarians Most pets have also received other medical care while with us. Your veterinarian may recommend additional health care for your pet.
