She’s a gentle soul who just needs a little extra encouragement to realize how wonderful the world can be! 🌈 Confidence Boosters: 🎡 Leilani would benefit so much from puppy classes! A structured environment is the perfect way for her to build self-esteem and realize that meeting new friends is actually pretty fun. 🐾 Learning the Ropes: 🎓 She’s a blank slate when it comes to "doggy life." She’ll need a patient family to help her master leash walking and house training with plenty of positive vibes! 💩 Small Steps, Big Love: 👣 Leilani might take a moment to approach you, but once she feels safe, her sweet personality truly shines. She’s looking for a gentle leader to hold her paw through life’s big adventures. 🛡️ If you enjoy watching a pup "bloom" right before your eyes, Leilani is your girl! She just needs a cozy home and a kind heart to help her reach her full potential. 🐕✨ Ready to Adopt? You have two options: #1- VISIT IN PERSON Come during our open adoption hours: Tuesday - Saturday,12:30 - 3:00pm. You’ll be able to meet available dogs in the shelter. (Puppies in foster care are not available for in-person visits.) #2- ADOPT SIGHT UNSEEN If you’re ready to adopt without meeting the puppy first, we can help over the phone or by email. (413) 781-4000 x 1 or email springfield@dakinhumane.org. We are often helping other clients when you call, but we return voicemails and emails within 24 hours. Puppies are adopted on a first come, first served basis, and we’re not able to place holds on them. All puppy adoption fees include: -spay/neuter -kennel cough vaccination -current parvo/distemper vaccines (may need additional boosters with your veterinarian) -microchip implanted & registered to adopter -treatment of fleas & ticks -veterinary exam and health certificate at Dakin -free vet exam within 30 days of adoption with participating veterinarians Most pets have also received other medical care while with us. Your veterinarian may recommend additional health care for your pet.
