My story

Cleopatra is aptly named - she`s gorgeous! She`s a senior lady who was transferred to the shelter from one of our rescue partners, A Cat and Dog`s Friend Rescue. Upon arrival to the shelter, Cleopatra popped right out of her carrier to say hello… and then headed right to the food dish for a bite to eat! With her striking markings and winning personality, we bet she`ll be scooped up in no time by some lucky family!Cleopatra is scheduled for a dental cleaning at Pender Veterinary on Tuesday, May 26, 2026. It provides a free dental service (compliments of our sister organization, Friends of the Fairfax County Animal Shelter). If she is adopted before the date of her dental cleaning, she will need her new adoptive family to provide a ride to and from her appointment! If you`d like to meet our available pets, please check the `shelter information` box on the listing to see if the pet is located at our Fairfax Campus (4500 West Ox Road, Fairfax) or our Lorton Campus (8875 Lorton Road, Lorton). Then, come in during our open hours!
