My story

If he is not marked pending, he is still available, please just submit an application.* **I am in foster in Greensburg** **I have been waiting for a home since April 2026** *brown tabby and white medium hair *About 1 year as of April 2025 -Newton “Newt” came to us after being stuck in a tree overnight. Firemen rescued him after a kind teacher called. He had been in some kind of accident and needed medical care for a wound on his side and shoulder as well as what we think might have been the beginning of frost bite on his back feet. After 6 weeks of weekly treatments, you would never know he was injured. Newt is a shy cat and has decided people are ok, but he doesn’t really want pets (we think he associates his foster with the pain of recovering from his wounds). He loves toys and treats and playing , but pets he needs to get used to. He needs an adopter who can slowly work with him and get him used to them in a smaller area over time and be patient with him. He loves Churus and playing with dangly toys! He is interested in other cats, but would need a slow introduction and I think a confident cat would get him out of his shell! He is neutered, negative for Felv/FIV, FVRCP and rabies vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and on flea prevention. He will be adopted to an indoor only home and the adopter will sign a contract that he cannot be declawed.
